I am making a birthday cake for a girlfriend. She wants cream cheese icing. Anyone have a good recipe for it? Is it easy to decorate with? I've decorated with store bought cream cheese icing and it wasn't terribly easy. It was too smooth. Any suggestions would help.
Thanks.

I plan to use this icing: http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-2047-Crusting-Cream-Cheese-Icing.html
for a requested Wilton Butterfly pan on Wednesday. I've heard (and hope!) it's easy to decorate with.
Good luck!

The well-decorated cake, by Toba Garret has a very good one.
It is called Cream Cheese Buttercream. icon_smile.gif

What I have read on this forum is YES. Regular buttercream you may leave out but not a cream cheese icing.
