I was reading everyone's ideas for gift baskets and made some of them for Christmas goodies. I remember someone saying they weren't sure if they should charge $5 for the gourmet apples and after making them, I KNOW they are worth that much or more. They were a pain, but were worth the effort. I also made the pretzel rods dipped in caramel and chocolate. Found an easier way to get the chocolate on instead of dipping. I used a silicone basting brush. Used that for the apples too. Was so much easier.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone!

That sounds easy. I always have the worst time with the caramel. Too much, not enough, running off etc. I will certainly try this next time!

Thanks for sharing that.

I love the way you wrapped the apples. That's so pretty. Everything looks yummy!

Looks delicious! I know where I live, the candy/chocolate stores sell gourmet apples for about $25.
