i have been seeing that alot of you are making this cake balls and was just wondering how they look like when you guys are done doing it and if anyone can share how to make it showing step by step pictures.(if you can)

this is something i would like to try to do but afraid i will mess up and i'm a step by step picture person..(if you know what i mean) by me seeing a picture and seeing what i'm doing to compare that i am doing it right.

I have some in my photos. Click the "Photos" button below my name.

I've done them alone and used them on a cake. (The chocolate cake with yellow flowers.)

OK Lisa.....those are absolutely delicious looking and your other cakes are gorgeous!
I have never tried the cake balls.....but now I must...looking at yours have inspired me....plus made me hungry! icon_biggrin.gif

OOhh!! Mine did not come out nearly as smooth as yours!! Did you use the toothpick method or what did you use to dip them?

I took a plastic fork and broke off the 2 tines in the center.

The trick to getting them really smooth is to make sure that the inside is as smooth as possible and that you chocolate is melted nicely. Had trouble with the white chocolate clumping up and I ended up adding about 3 drops of veggie oil to it. Smoothed out nicely after that.
