In the galleries section, there is an album labeled "USER GALLERIES". There are no entries in it. I was just wondering what exactly is this album for? I posted this topic in "The Lounge", but only had 1 response and she didn't know either.
...does ANYONE know what this is?
This is my theory ... but as I don't write computer code, I could be WAY off base.
We each have a photo gallery of our own. For the site managers and owners to be able to condense, organize and control those images, they need to have a "folder" that all of our galleries are connected to. This would assist them with the coding of how to find things, etc.
Now, since we can all access photos through the main gallery as well as those little buttons at the bottom of our posts, having the galleries SHOWING in that folder would just take up valuable hard drive space.
I think that it is there as a programming "place holder" for all of our wonderful creations ... and maybe in the future, for whatever reason, there may be individual folders for each of us in that same gallery for us to peruse and admire .. but again, considering hard drive space, I doubt it.
Again -- this is just speculation.
