How much do you think this cake would sell for?

It's a 13x9 using the cake extender recipe
It's covered in MMF
It has entensive 3D decorations made out of MMF (trucks, trees, road signs) with some BC accents.

Also, the area I live in has lower costs of living than average (on the outskirts of Myrtle Beach, SC to be exact)

Thanks for any input!

Are you able to post a picture of it here?

It sounds really neat! I usually charge 25.00 for a 9x13 sheet cake with regular decorating. With all the extras that yours has...I would say 40.00-45.00 would be about right. Would love to see what it looks like! icon_smile.gif

I took pics with my camera, not a digital one and I haven't developed the film yet, which brings me to my next question... this is embarrassing so don't laugh. How do you post pics here or anywhere ? I am so not computer literate. Thanks!

To post pictures on this site, go to the GALLERIES link at the top of the page. From there, click on the UPLOAD PICTURE link underneath "Photo Galleries". Choose an album for your picture. Hit the BROWSE button and look for your picture on your computer. Add a picture title, description, and keyword(s). Click on UPLOAD PICTURE.

Don't feel bad... we've all had to learn it at one time or another.

Anyway It must be digital, either from a digital camera or scanned. Not sure of the options, but maybe these days it is possible to have photos developed & put onto a CD instead printing.

Once you have it in a digital file for the computer, then someone here can walk you through the steps.

By the way... I'm originally from Florence SC & my brother and sisters now live near Myrtle Beach (Murrell's Inlet) !

Tobinx, Hi Conway is pretty close to Murrell's Inlet.

Good luck with your photos. If you can manage to get them into a digital format, and can put them onto your own computer then it is very easy to upload them here.

Sorry I can't answer your original question... I've never tried to sell a cake. I've only done a few as it is.

When you get your film developed you can ask them to put it on a picture CD. When you put the CD in your computer you can find your photos in the D drive. I have a digital camera but think my regular old camera from Target takes much better photos...so I usually end up getting a picture CD. Good luck!
