Are these the "roses" made with fondant that's folded & then rolled? I'm making a red velvet cake for Sunday & was thinking a few of these would make a nice topper. Anyone know how to make them??

There are directions in Wilton books, but if you search the forums I know the answer is there, because I asked the same question, just can't remember where the answer is. Check the Wilton site for "rolled roses". Sorry, not more help. Good Luck. zz
OK, just checked and they are called "ribbon roses". Check the wilton site for those.

I just made some of these for my ladybug cake. First time and they turned out pretty good. The key is to cut your fondant the sizes it specifies unless you want really large ones and don't roll too tight, just loosely. I had problems at first with these things and rolling the fondant to thin, finally I got the hang of it!!

Here's a previous post with the exact instructions... http://cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-180-ribbon.html+roses

Oh thanks....I'm glad fondant is forgiving b/c I had plenty of "practice" roses before I got those! Everytime I would just start over. Like I said, I did better when I actually measured out the size (according to the instructions), seems like when I didn't the rose would have too many turns. Make sense?! Good luck! Can't wait to see them!
