I'm looking for books on gumpaste flowers. Has anyone tried a certain book (other than the Wilton one) that was really informative?

I wish they had classes for this stuff around here. I'm a visual person and do a heck of a lot better if I can see someone do it first. A picture of just the end product doesn't help much.

Thanks for any light you can shed on this for me icon_biggrin.gif

Hmm. I find the Wilton book on gumpaste is excellent!! The pictures are great and sizes are right. Well, there are some more books on gumpaste flowers if you search for that on Amazon.

The best gumpaste flower books are by Nick Lodge, Scott Wooley and Alan Dunn. To start off I would recommend getting Nick Lodge's Potpourri of Flowers and some of his videos. His videos are high quality and take you through making the flower step by step. You can order directly from his website http://www.nicholaslodge.com
I''d recommend getting his video cataloge (he shows you how to use all the equipment and how to make a rose) and then see what other flowers on his other videos he has that you want to make.
