hello...what is rolled buttercream? how do i decorate with it and is it the same as a fbct?

Here is a link to the recipe... I've never used rolled buttercream but I believe it's done similar to a fondant on your cakes.

It is similar to fondant in texture and decorating uses, but not in taste.

Rolled buttercream could be considered to be a "stiffened" buttercream.

It is a dough-like cake covering, but in comparison to rolled fondant, it is softer, tears but can be fixed, does not dry out hard, and has a typical sweet "buttercream" taste.
