I use Duncan Hines..how many cake mixes do I need to put in an 11x15? I'm making this cake right now

I use four DH mixes in the 11" x 15" x 3" pan.

But I guess you found out by now how many to use! LOL

It takes me three mixes for a 11 X 15. I like for it to raise up enough so I can level it and get a good 2" layer.

With four, I can torte it and have a nearly 4" high cake with icing and filling.

I'm with Cakepro on this one. I use 4 and collar the top of my pan to get a nice, high, even cake.

JMO, though.

I remember it takes me 11 cups of batter and chocolate makes the least amount of cups of batter for some reason! I don't remember exactly how many mixes that is....
