I've done cakes with MMF before and to attach things like boarders and such you just use a little bit of water and it acts like glue. I'm going to be using Satin Ice for the first time this weekend and want to know if it acts the same or if I should use something else as a glue. I don't want to deliver my cake with pieces falling off icon_redface.gif

I've never used Satin Ice, but our instructor stated to us in a class that it did and did her roses with water and they held.

I've used every type of ready made fondant AND I make MMF all the time. Rolled fondant is rolled fondant. The only difference between Satin Ice, FondX, etc. and MMF is that YOU made it instead of a company. All fondant is made pretty much the same way that you are making MMF. Therefore, it handles the same. Anything that you can do with MMF, you should be able to do with Satin Ice and all the others. HTH
