I Swore I Wouldn't Do This

With the holiday season in full gear and the frustrations along with it, I just finished this past weekend the last 2 cakes I had. I was so happy Sunday to clean up my kitchen and put all my cake stuff away. I now had time to focus on my cookie/candy exchange and make cookies for my husband. I swore yesterday that I was not going to do anymore cakes until after the new year to give myself a break. Famous last words.... icon_confused.gif

Well DH took my cake photos to work for a coworker to see and comes home saying his coworker would like a 10" round Christmas cake decorated however I'd like to do it. Oh well, now isn't that just the right way to make doing the cake the most enticing it could possibly be -- free decorating reign and getting paid for it. icon_rolleyes.gif

I told DH to ask his coworker about cake flavor and icing and what type of Christmas (impressive or fun) he was looking for and then I'd let him know. I'm so tired of cooking and being stressed that I am tempted to say no but I think it would be a neat experiment.

10" round, however you want? GO FOR IT! Tis the season to be jolly right? So just think, every cake you make for someone else, you won't eat LOL! That's how I have to think of it. The more I make cakes, the less I want them, and its done my body some good!!
Anyway, I think you'll be fine..one big breathe and take on that cake girl!

Yeah, I have the same thought. I talked to my husband more about it when his coworker was around and he needs to travel from MD to CT (conneticut?) with it so it needs to be sturdy. Guess I'll get baking tonight and get my icing made too! At least he just said a simple butter cake with choc mousse and whatever design I want.
