Okay, I have never used gumpaste before and am so very nervous about trying it... I love poinsettias though and am wondering where do you start to even make the leaves... Is it how you design the flower... I have some powder gumpaste in the pantry but am not sure where to go from there...

Hello,

This maybe too late for your project, but first you need some gumpaste cutters. There are many places that carry them--your local cake shoppe might. If not, check this out--

http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/gumpaste/gumpaste.htm

The cutters will come with instructions on how to use them and the shaping tools to form the leaves and petals and what to do for the round balls in the center.

It is fun but tedious work. I hope you enjoy it.
