I have an order for Sept 30 for an outdoor Fall themed wedding. The groom is a world champion roper and the wedding will take place at his family's ranch. The bride's cake will be lots of fall leaves and butterflies. His cake is going to be a 4-wheeler. Now what I need help with is ideas for decorating the tables. I just know y'all will have all kinds of wonderful ideas!!

I don't know how to incorporate a steer into table decorations, but some general fall themed ideas are:
baskets with apples
fall wrapped hershey kisses
baskets will fall silk flower arrangements
twig style wreath with fall colored ribbon and a candle inside
glass pitchers or large canning jars used as vases
tiny pumpkins or gourds (think martha stewart)

Hmmm....I'm thinking about all the fabulous mums available that time of year. I like the wreath idea--maybe with the ribbon you could incorporate some ropey looking twine to enhance the ranch feel of it. I love the apple basket idea too, maybe with some cinnamon sticks and lined with bandanas? Or maybe even apples in a bandana lined upside down cowboy hat? Wow--you're going to have a lot of fun with this one!

Edited to add: How about some galvanized buckets with gorgeous and colorful dried ears of Indian corn?

Maybe pieces of burlap on the tables as placemats or something to put the center pieces on or if you cn get enough of it use for the entire tablecloth.
Craft stores also sell cups with handles that are shaped like boots and miniature cowboy hats for dolls and teddy bears, miniature hay bails, rafia and bandanas of all colors (bandana placemats might be cute). You might even ask the groom if he has some extra ropes. They're really stiff and naturally coil up into a circle and maybe that could go around whatever centerpiece you come up with.
Maybe a bandana (in a coordinating color of course) laid out in the middle of the table with miniature hay bails stacked every which way on it and a butterfly on the stack of bails or a butterfly and miniature cowboy hat.

Don't forget to check boot and western wear stores for ideas. Usually thier things are too expensive but you never know what might spark an idea that you can just take and run with.

Good luck and don't forget to post pictures of the cakes and table decorations!

What color is the wedding party? My friend had a country fall wedding and I thought she was crazy with the colors she picked. We wore DARK BROWN colors and her bouquet and ours were filled with all the fall colored flowers, browns, oranges, yellow and beige. The day of the wedding, when it all came together, it was SO beautiful. I think it was the prettiest wedding I have been to. I can't recall the center pieces, but I would say keep them simple, not plain, but simple.

She hasn't decided 100% on her colors but knows they will definitely be in the Fall pallette!
