I have plan to host a easter cookie drive, with a portion of the proceeds going to a local project.
So far my plan are to set up in a shop down town (as i am home based) I guess i would advertise in the local paper and then I would have pre made easter egg cookies, wrapped in bags with ribbons. I was deciding weather or not to "personalize" the cookies with the kids name. like with chocolate or something that dries quick.
can anyone make any suggestions?? this idea is still in the making. do you think I should do it eater weekend, or the weekend before, or both??? this is also a really good way to get my name out there. i might also do some cookie boquets to sell.. maybe some chocolates.

let me know!! thanks

I would skip the personalizing for now and consentrate on good quality well put together and lots of one of a kind cookies and small cookie bouquets. That way people can buy 1 or several and try them. And that deff adds to repeat customers especially if you do it 2 weekends in a row and advertise as such.

I saw the CUTEST idea...they made small cookie pops and choc pops...then, drilled a hole in the bottom of a plastic egg, slid it onto the stick just under the cookie/choc, glued it, snapped the top part of the egg on, added curling ribbon to stick...SOOOOO CUTE!

I'm going to try them this year...if you do 1st, will you pm me to let me know how it went?

good luck!

...forgot to say...I think they used RI to glue egg in place

1. I think what Dawn2467 said would be great to do, do some with the cookie and some with a chocolate sucker.

2. Do cookies on sucker sticks to sell as one item.

3. Do chocolate suckers.

4. Do some bouquets with cookies only.

5. Do some bouquets with just the suckers only.

6. Do some mix bouquets with cookies and suckers, and add one in the middle of the bouquets that Dawn2467 spoke of.

7. As for advertising, do the newspaper as you said. You could also do posters, flyers and pass out or hang up around where you live or at businesses if they give you the o.k. to do so.

8. You could make, Easter Eggs, Baby Chicks, Bunnies, Crosses, Easter Lilies,Lambs,Easter Baskets shapes of cookies and suckers.

I agree with what 2sdae said,"I would skip the personalizing for now and consentrate on good quality well put together and lots of one of a kind cookies and small cookie bouquets".

Hope all or any of these ideals help you, Good Luck with your Easter Cookie Drive!
