Susanrcp! You're gonna love it! Test the waters tho...when I first got mine, I zoomed the speed up immediately, and "lifted" a blob of chocolate cake better up and over the side of the mixing bowl and onto my kitchen carpet! I can still see it in my mind's eye. FLYING CAKE BATTER!!!! I screamed!!!! LOL Have fun!

I got all choked up when I read this--kitchen appliances do that to me. It's a beautiful thing.

Congrats!!

i put this in a post yesterday but got no reply.. i was wondering if anyone knew anything about Wolfgang Pucks mixer. its a 700 watt, professional with similar bells and whistles as the KA.... my brother was eye balling one that we found very inexpensive... it might be under my tree... i have a very old mixer that my mother bought ages ago and it was a heavy duty one back then... just curious if there is success without the KA.....

Tye,
I have the Wolfgang Puck mixer from Sam's and I love it. I've never had a KA, but I've seen them in use and I think the WP is just as good, if not better. It is slightly noisier, but for the price, that's no big deal to me. It works great and I've never had a problem with it. I've mixed all types of things in it, including MMF and heavy dough. I don't even have to stop and scrape the bowl. Works great!
