I tried to follow the directions posted here to do a cut out cookie using a picture instead of a cookie cutter. here is my first try and i'm pretty pleased with it. the food marker smeared a littel (how long does that take to dry anyways!!) and some of the guide marks are still visable but they won't be once I eat it!!!
thanks for looking and as always thanks for all the help I find here at CC
What a great looking cookie. Our whole wedding had the claddagh. Wish you'd been around 10y ago--I would have order 300 for the favors!
great job!! I am always so impressed by all of the "first-timers" here. If I ever took pictures of my first cookies-Yikes!!!

Hey you did a really good job with your cookies. Looks great!!!
What a wonderful job!
I'll tell you a little secret I learned the hard way... make a few copies of your picture, save one whole for the cookie and "background" image and then cut the other copies up in the different shapes you'll need... in your case the crown, heart, hands... that way you can use the pieces as templates if you ever have intricate (sp) designs.
I did that for the crow cookie I did for my first try at this... worked out GREAT!
Once again - your cookie is beautiful!
Thanks everone for all your help
and a BIG THANK YOU to cake princess for her directions!!
