Ok ...so here's the story. I've used wilton fondant and it really easy to work with however is tastes grose. A friend of mine tried MMF and said it was easy to work with too BUT was too sweet. So I tried the Cake Bible recipe for fondant. It tastes good BUT what a pain to work with.....either I did something wrong (which is VERY possible) or the recipe stinks. The fondant at first was sticky so i added more powdered sugar. I let it rest for 2 days until I used it today. It crack and split and wasn't easy to roll out. Does anyone know why ????? icon_cry.gif

Haven't made the recipe, but no fondant should be that dry. Rose wouldn't be able to create those awesome cakes if the recipe was bad. Her blog just started. You can submit questions to her. I bookmarked it when it debuted but haven't checked back.

I use that recipe all them time. It is pretty soft when first made and you want to add more sugar, but after resting it comes together. So i say if you try it again then don't add the extra sugar, and see if that makes a difference after it rests. You can always add more sugar if it needs it later.
