How long can I refridgerate sugar cookie dough before making the cookies? I mean, how many days will the dough "keep"?

I imagine that if it's well wrapped to prevent it from picking up other flavours, it would be fine for 3-4 days at least!

What I've done in the past is shaped the dough into a huge ball, wrapped it several times in wrap, and refridgerated it for up to 5 days. 3 days is optimal though, if you can cut it that close..
