Hello Everyone,

I have no merguine powder left is ther anything I can use that I could subsitute with? I just need to decorate 6 cookies.THANKS

Hello,

If you have time for drying (about 24 hrs), you could use Toba Garrett's Glaze. The cookies in my pictures are done with this.

Do you have color flow mix? It can be substituted for meringue powder.

Wow. Do you just want an icing that will look similar to royal? How about powdered sugar with just enough water to liquify it? You can make it as thick as you need by adjusting the ratio of sugar to water. Color as needed. It probably won't dry as quickly as royal (or as hard), but that should do the trick.

Also, if you have eggs, you can make an egg white meringue icing; I think Wilton has a recipe for it in some of their books or check their website.
