I'm not sure ... just wanted to bump you but I think heat makes it softer ... I know when I made mine ... I made it a day ahead of time and to get it to roll out easily I put it in the microwave and it made it really soft ... so I don't think the hair dryer will work ... maybe cold ... like sit it outside of in a cold garage??

I think what makes it dry is too much powdered sugar.

My MMF usually dries soooo quickly.....I agree that putting in the microwave usually makes mine more sticky, but very quickly gets hard again. I think the cold garage idea is a good one.

Do you have/will it fit in a food dehydrator?

A heat lamp will help but next time, add some gum-tex powder, or tylose or make it out of gum paste or 1/3 to 1/2 of gumpaste mixed with fondant. The problem is we tend to use fondant when gumpaste would be the better choice for something that we want to be able to control so that it sets.
Personally I find that the regular rolled fondant works better for such things than does marshmallow fondant. I tend to use the Wilton fondant for decorations or things of this nature and even though it has a hardening agent already added which accounts for the yucky taste a lot of people complain about, it works better.

Well if reheating it makes it kneadable, yes, add prepared gumpaste and knead it in. Otherwise try mixing in some gum-tex powder but the idea would be to combine the prepared gumpaste with it.
And don't feel bad as this is how we learn!
