Hi All,

I am doing a five tiered stacked cake for a Golden Wedding on the 27th of this month. The inspiration ... Kerri Vincent's "Romantic Wedding Cakes"!

My first question,
Can any one give me a rough guide of how much fondant (in weight) I would need to cover cakes with diameters, 5,7,9,11,13 inches?
The cakes will be almost 3" in height.

My second question,
How long will home-made fondant last? My recipe contains eggwhite, glucose, citric acid solution and icing sugar.

I just made dome fondant today, so I can make a practice cake on the weekend. Wish me luck!

Thanks for this in advance, and all the other times I have asked for help and got it in abundance,
Cake Central is a wonderful place!
Karen

Thank you, just what I was looking for.

Isn't it strange, the web-site is called Karen's Kitchen, which is exactly the name I was planning for years ago, when I was creating my web-site.

Thanks again,
Karen
