TheCakerator made the snowflake cake from the 2003 Wiltons yearbook...I was wondering if someone would like to share the details so I could make it for my office christmas party this year.

OH BTW did I mention that I LOVE this site! icon_razz.gificon_razz.gificon_razz.gificon_razz.gificon_razz.gificon_razz.gif

I love the stands in this cake, but can't believe how much Wilton charges for them!

Beautiful cake!

Cakepro, you can find very similar stands at your local Garden Centre for probably a lot less $$$!

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check a couple of the Garden Centers. I've been eying those stands as well. But, even with Michael's discount coupons, it still adds up to a lot especially when you want to buy several sizes. icon_cry.gif

I don't know what kind of stores you have around you, but here in Texas we have a bargain store (like a dollar store) called Fred's. In their sale for this week, they had beaded cake stands for $8 each! Not sure what quality they are, but I'm going to go check them out today.

You might try some places like that, dollar stores, etc. They may not have exactly what you are looking for, but they could have things that will spark some great ideas.

Re: Princessjellybean - The stands at the Garden Stores are actually plant stands, but they can be used for cake stands and work great.

I am always scanning the aisles at Pottery Barn for new "cake stands." They have some gorgeous huge plaster pillars too.
