I stick the toothpick in the frozen cake ball and kindof use it as a handle. I pick them up by the toothpick, hold over my melted choc. spoon some over it and I can turn it around it needed to coat the other side. Then I set them in paper wrappers, like cupcake wrappers but smaller. toothpick up. After I do 4-5 I can go back to the first one and twist the toothpick out to use again.

Does that make sense?

...since I make mine with the Pampered Chef cookie dough scooper thing...mine are flat on the bottom. I stick the toothpick in the top!

Yes 2 TBSP goes into the nutella...it is a bit drier than peanut butter so it needs it...the other 2 goes into the almond bark.

I use the Cookieman recipe, but I modified to my own taste. I love the amoretto flavor, but I use about 3 Tbsp to about 3 cups of cake crumbs, then use 2 Tbsp pwdered sugar, 2 Tbsp cocoa, and 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips. I taste to make sure it is not too strong on the amoretto and if it is I add some more cake. I've made several batches and everyone who has tried them really like them.

I crumbled the cake added in 1 Cup of the buttercream and a splash of vanilla rum. I mixed it in the KA then formed the balls. I froze them and coated them in chocolate....OMG they were so delicious! I can't believe I waited this long to try them. The egg nog taste was fantastic in my opinion of course!

Well, I used the spice cake scraps and mixed in a little egg nog and then covered them in white almond bark. They were good but mushier than I like.

Maybe if you used less liquid? I'm not sure mine were not mushy but they weren't hard either.

I think it was the cake. It was very moist. I used hardly any liquid. Probably could have just mashed the cake together. But, I wanted the egg nog flavor. Not sure there is enough in there to even taste.

Maybe it was too moist. My cake was eggnog flavored, so it already had the taste in it...yum!!! Did you put in any buttercream?

No buttercream. Just a little eggnog to keep it all together. Probably didn't even need it.
