What about different types of shoes around the cake for the different dance styles?

Finally I see someone close to home. I'm in Chesterfield, VA.

...hey, I'm not that far from either of you two!!

Have you seen the cakes where a few little girls are tucked in bed...you could do that and at the bottom of the bed put small ballet/jazz slippers and tap shoes....kinda of like the girls kicked off thier shoes before going to bed?

Just a thought!!

I like the ideas that have been posted thus far. In addition, I would like to add a FBCT of a young lady lacing a dance shoe or a silhouette of 3 jazz tap dancers (in chocolate or FBCT). OR a picture of 3 uniquely different little girls sitting at the foot of a bed (in pajamas) reading a book about jazz tap/hip hop dancing.

Good luck on your cake.
