Tell me about your yummy holiday gift treats!

Thread Starter
I'm looking for new ideas for giving delicious gifts this year, and am thinking of doing gourmet drizzled popcorn and gourmet apples. I bought some of those apples last year and they were incredible and easy to do.

I'd love to hear some unique gift ideas...something beyond the usual decorated cookies or gingerbread houses. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks,
Sherri

I have a small bundt pan that makes 6 small bundts. I make my best chocolate chocolate cake, once cooled I wrap them in a celephan that cost $2.50 a roll and put a beautiful thick rich ribbon... I freeze them if I'm not ready to use them but then when I'm ready I pull them out...Great quick hostess gift, I will occational even take some with me on my everyday travels if I see someone having a day I will run out to my car and give one to them...Karma is everything. But it doesn't hurt that at the bottom I always put my sticker with a thank you and please enjoy and my phone number... small cost and great to pull in customers...

Hope it helps...

I do the small bundt cakes--vanilla almond with vanilla almond drizzle and slivered almonds, chocolate fudge with ganache and strawberry with either straberry drizzle or chocolate ganache. I also have an awesome Firehouse chili mix that I put in cello bags or an instant potato soup mix in cello bags. I have several acquaintances/customers that buy my chili mix and put in gift baskets. I then put the mixes in a chili bowl or coffee mug.

Sometimes I bake small loaves of beer bread and include a small tub or homemade cinnamon-sugar butter. Put this in a basket with pot holders, homemade jelly and cookies.

Hey Kristingeorge--

My recipe for cinnamon butter is:

1/2 lb. margarine
3 Tblsp. cinnamon
1/2 Lb. powdered sugar.

Combine all ingredients and mix well with mixer. Put in an airtight container and refrigerate. Makes about 20 ozs.

It's sinful!!!
