Hi! I am very new here, but am soooo glad that I have found you! I have felt so alone in this, what I thought to be an empty world of cake fanatics. icon_smile.gif I have been making cakes for my family and friends, free of charge for years. My town is a small city growing very very fast. To give you an idea of how fast, I think it was one of the top 5. There aren't any real good bakeries aside from the grocery stores. I am in the very beginning stages of creating a business, and am looking for any input that would help with the process. Thanks!

HI ReAnnon,
I am in Gilbert. Just wanted to say HI from a fellow Arizonan. icon_biggrin.gif There are quite a lot of us AZ girls here at CC and some do this as a business so maybe you can ask them for help and ideas. Try posting to TamiAZ and BonnscakesAZ for starters. They have both helped me a great deal with my gazillion questions. There are many others in other states that do this and hopefully they'll reply too.

Have fun!
KimAZ

wow....sounds like you have a prime opportunity to create a viable successful business. Does the law allow you to have a home bakery in your state?

Hi! I too am here in Chandler AZ. I was actually looking to get together with some fellow cake bakers/decorators and share some ideas. If interested, let me know. I have had some orders for some of my cakes. So, you CAN make a pretty good business of it out here.

No, I don't believe you can have a home bakery. But I am looking into renting out a kitchen part time.
