coconut macaroons - question

Can you freeze macaroons?

Also, have any of you dipped them in chocolate before, they look very yummy with the chocolate.

One recipe calls for sweented coconut and another just says coconut. would that make a differance if you could only get sweetened coconut.

I've never frozen them but I don't think I would. They are a moist cookie, at least the ones I make are, and have egg whites in them. I just don't think I'd freeze them but maybe others have and have had success.
