Do you have to refrigerate crusting cream cheese BC? And if not, how long will it keep? How do you store the finished cake?

I made it last night. that made alot of icing. It was very good. I want to know the same thing although I put my cake and icing in the fridge.

Help someone on this question.

For storing the icing, it needs to be refrigerated. Once the cake has been iced, I would refrigerate as well, unless you're covering it in fondant. It will be fine at room temp for a few days as long as the kitchen isn't too warm. I wouldn't keep it in my kitchen in the summer, but this time of year it's not a problem.
