Okay - I'm making a cake for this weekend and want to use Pastry Pride for the filling (so I don't need to worry about refrigeration issues.)

Has anyone tried making the cookies & cream filling on this site with Pastry Pride or Rich's bettercreame instead of whipped cream? Any suggestions??

Sounds interesting if the Pastry Pride doesn't make the cookies too soft or soggy.

i make it with pastry pride most of the time and everyone loves it. the cookies do soften (as much as it would with whipping cream), but it still tastes great.

I just did it for a cake today and it does taste great! I whipped the Pastry Pride and added about 2 teaspoons of clear vanilla. Then folded the cookie pieces into the whipped PP. It was soooo good! And everyone loved it as a filling to the vanilla cake. I'll definitely be doing this again.

The cookies do get soggy - but it is no more than with regular cookies & cream.

I'm always so nervous to try something new, but I sure love it when the recipe works!
