I have see this cake syrup thing alot, so now i'm asking what exactly do one do with this syrup?

cake syryp is a simple mix of sugar and water that is brushed or poured onto your cake to make it more moist. I've used it around the edges of a cake before that was a bit dry to moisten it up. Other than that, I haven't used it. It worked great on softening up the dry edges!

There was an extensive thread on the subject of simple syrup for cakes that you may want to look at.

There a lot of the people here discuss recipes and methods for making it.

It is mainly used for scratch cakes to give them moisture....
