Hi! I was thinking of making a book cake and having it stand up, not exactly vertical, but close to it. Any ideas on how I should go about this. I was thinking about making a nativity scene in front of it, and using the cake as both a bible and a background.
Can any one help?

Are you wanting to support the cake itself or the board behind it?

What if you made a cake that looked like a book leaning back on something that way you wouldn't have to support just the book cake at an angle...it could all be one cake. I really like your idea and if you do a bible scene, the book could be resting back on a slanted pillar or rock. You might even be able to find some sort of cake "plate" that could be used at a slight angle.

You could try to use a recipe book stand like this:
