The deal is that you spread strips of chocolate mixed with shortening, peel it of and arrange it to make a bow. It's very cute and cool if you don't like the taste of fondant.

I also wanted to know if it would mess it up if I painted it with luster dust mixed with my vodka.

I know this will take several trial and errors, but I forgot the freezer paper and my house is epmty and it's a great time to try it out!

TIA for any help you can give me!

I have no idea--but I would try a small piece first and see if it peels off the paper OK. I don't see why it wouldn't.

I have found that parchment works the best for me.

Have no clue about the luster dust. Sorry.

I think I'll wait and get freezer paper. white choco chips are expensive when experimenting!

Hopefully I can post a picture when I can get it done right!

You will have better results if you use freezer paper because it is thicker and stonger and will hold the shape better( I have even used clear contact paper).

As for the Luster Dust It can be applied wet but you will have to make it fairly thick and do several coats. It goes on dry better.
