Hi HammIamm

I add melted chocolate after the buttercream is finished.
I never used cocoa powder .

Good luck

If you use melted chocolate add after but make sure it is not too hot.

If cocoa I am not sure when to add but if added it needs to be combined with a little water then mix with buttercream.

I read that antonia74 adds 3 ounces of warm melted chocolate and 1/3 cup of sifted cocoa. I'm not sure at what stage, but my guess would be sometime after the syrup stage, either with the butter or perhaps at the end.

Maybe PM her and ask, since I know she's done it?

Sure can!

After all the butter is added, beat in 6 ounces of melted chocolate (melt in microwave for 60 to 90 seconds, remove and stir for 60 seconds to remove all lumps and cool it slightly) and 1/2 cup of dark cocoa (sift this before you add!)
