When making a large batch of colored fondant...does anybody use their mixer and dough hook to blend in the color? I just did 5# of flesh tone fondant by hand and it seems like there has to be an easier way! Thanks in advance! thumbs_up.gif

I did it with my kitchen aid and the dough hook. I mixed it up mostly with that and finished it by hand. You don't want to run it too long so it doesn't start to dry out. I've used the kitchen aid to kneed it just to make it more workable when it was too stiff before too. If you're making a big batch ~ try making a smaller batch too dark and then mixing the dark in with the rest of the white to get the color you want.
