silicone mat

I bought two silicone mats at the grocery store to bake cookies on-naturally I threw away the boxes they came in because what could go wrong?! (ha)
they scrunched up (kinda like bacon does when it cooks) when I was baking my cookies....so my cookies turned out deformed-am I doing something wrong? I can't return them (no box) and I hate to just throw them in a drawer...any ideas?
thanks!

Are you sure they were the kind you could bake on?? Not to be asking you a silly question. But You should be able to bake on them w/o any prob's if they are indeed for baking. Do you have your receipt??
If you do I would just return them W/O the box.

its not a silly question-I've done stupid things on several occassions, lol

yep, they are for baking-good up to 600 degrees, it was on the box-that I threw away-
nope, no receipt either....
geez should I put them next to the malt maker I never use, or the easy chop?

If you can remember the manuf or if it's marked, I'd call them. Sometimes they're willing to send replacements. Even if they don't, at least they'll know their product is faulty.
