Hello everyone, I was just wondering if there is anyone from Canada that could tell me where they get there airbrush colors from. I checked out 2 sites from the states and they wanted waaay too much for shipping. Kopykake would only send orders of $20 or more so with shipping it was gonna cost $63 american for 2 items and the other site I can't remember what one was $11 for the colors and $20 for shipping. So if anyone could help me out that would be great. Thanks so much!

Try www.creativecutters.com ... they have branches in the US and Canada (Toronto) adn I order form them all the time (including airbrush stuff)

you may also want to check out www.CakesCanada.com - someone may have another Canadian suggestion there!

Where did you guys get your airbrush from? Is it just a regular airbrush, just using the edible airbrush colors?

Nope, I spent the $$ and got the Airmaster by KopyKakes (you can get it @ Creative Cutters too)

Everything I've read says that you'll just end up wanting a good one that's made for cakes anyhow, so don't bother buying oe of the "hobby" ones.

I LOVE MY AIRBRUSH!

That is the airbrush that I just got, and I am very glad I got it. It has an adjustable airflow, which helps with making fine lines as well as using for a wide spray. I Love It, and it is the first airbrush that I ever used. I got mine direct from Kopykake but I live in NY and didn't have to worry as you guys do with the high cost of shipping, I just wanted to stress that it is a great airbrush

Caketop in Mississauga sells BakeryCrafts items, including squeeze gel colour concentrates and airbrush colours......you can use the gel colours diluted with a bit of vodka to spray through the airbrush. McCall's School of Cake Decorating in Toronto also sells airbrush colours. Sorry, I don't know of any places outside of the GTA Ontario...

I would be very cautions doing this ... the airbrush colours are made with pigments that have been ground extremely fine ... other types of colours usually have larger pigment particles which can clog your airbrush... they may look the same but there is a difference!
