As far as a price, my coworker's church is selling pumpkin rolls as a fund raiser and they are charging $10 each. I have never sold one yet, I can't seem to keep the kids out of them. I just put three pumpkins rolls in the fridge on Sunday and on Tuesday they were all gone by the time I got home from work. So I think that I will make about 7 to 10 of them this weekend. Maybe I will be able to sell at least 4 of them. icon_rolleyes.gif

I sell mine for $12 or $14 w/nuts...just wondering what everyone else sold theirs for.

Thanks, that makes sense to roll the towel up in it at first. I was given a pumpkin roll recipe years ago that I tried once. I made such a mess of it that I never tried it again! I may have to pull it out and try it again for Thanksgiving.

Okay, I was under the impression that you can not put wax paper in the oven, or else it will smoke. Is that not the case?

GinaJuarez - I've never had that problem...I use a convection oven, but I seem to remember when I used to bake them with my regular oven I used waxed paper also. Just make sure there is none hanging over the sides of the pan

Thanks for posting this question and all the great answers. My grandmother always made pumpkin rolls, unfortunately my love of decorating and baking came along long after we lost her. Everytime I am in the kitchen I think of her, and now I am going to try my hand at pumpkin rolls too.

Charleydog, little lesson I learned last year, I get a calender for the next year as soon as they come out, everytime I hear someone say "Man I want one of those" or if it is a great idea for decorating I jot a note down on the calender for that day. Next year, you will flip the calender and have all these great ideas waiting for you that, if you are like me you would have forgotten about.

That's a great idea NEWTODECORATING. So glad you shared that!

I have my Thanksgiving grocery list ready! Going shopping tomorrow. Me & my daughter are going to cook this weekend. It's sooo fun having a teenager that likes to cook!!

Oh, thank you thank you thank you for the towel rolling questions! I just could not figure out how to do the towel! The logic wasn't flowing....

And the prices! I was wondering what to sell mine for. When you price those, how many rolls are you getting out of 1 recipe?

Pooker...thats very similar to the recipe that I use. I get one pumpkin roll out of each recipe.
If you buy the big can of pumpkin puree they say you can get 4-5 pumpkin rolls out of the one can.

I did forget to mention one thing: make sure you use the pumpkin puree and not the pumpkin pie mix. I'm not saying this to be funny, but seriously its happened and it was not pretty icon_surprised.gif I have both at the shop, because I use the pumpkin pie mix for cheesecakes and cookies and sometimes the cans can look the same in a hurry icon_confused.gif Trust me they are not the same icon_lol.gif

Ok... I've gotta ask another question about the towel... Do you lay the towel on top of the baked roll & then roll the roll up? I can't picture this in my head. icon_smile.gif
