I'm making some spice cupcakes with creamcheese frosting and was thinking about trying a filling with it but I'm not sure what kind of filling would be good. Any suggestions? Something that can be left out on the counter would be best.

TIA!! icon_smile.gif

The only thing I keep thinking of is some sort of pudding or custard...but you probably can't leave that sitting on a counter. Maybe a cinnamon buttercream?

Some kind of cream cheese filling would be good. Depends on the spice cake recipe. How about an orange flavored cream cheese filling. For some reason that popped into my mind when I look at your post.

Cream cheese filling is what came to my mind but I like the idea of the orange cream cheese filling even better!
