Is there a way to save a post you are intersted in? Sometimes I need something later and have trouble finding it...so can i just save it like a recipe? (I know people don't want repeat questions, but if you have no clue the title of the post there is an enormous amount to go through!!!)

Can anyone help me out?

TIA

P.S I hope I put this in the right forum...

You can click on the thread and bookmark. I wish I knew of an easier way.

You're welcome. Sometimes we have to do things that way. I have so many bookmarks I can't keep up with them icon_smile.gif

I often will copy and paste the information into an email, along with the link to the original thread, so I can refer to it later.

I have set up separate sub-folders in my email inbox, so I can "file" messages (e.g. I have one for "recipes", one for "craft ideas", etc). I put as much information in the subject line as I can, so when I go looking for it it's easier to find.

hth!
Laura.

I think you can click down at the bottom where it says "watch this topic for replies" And then I believe that there is a place (I'll try to find it) that says something like "my watched topics. I'll look at get back with you.

Ok, I found it. If you click on the Forum tab at the top when that page comes up there underneath the word Forum there is a thing you can click on that says "Watched topics" so after you have clicked on the "watch this topic" at the bottom of your topic it should pull it up. HOpe that helps.!

There is a place in your forum info where you can select yes to this option:

Always notify me of replies:
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.

Then at the bottom of every forum, you have the option to Watch this forum for new topics.

Meaning you'll be emailed every time a new topic is posted.

Then at the bottom of every thread there is the option to Watch this topic for replies

Meaning you'll be emailed whenever your watched topic has a new reply.

If you've set your forum info to notify you of replies to topics you've posted in, these will automatically show in your watched topics. You won't have to click the watch this topic button.

You're right...it would be. I don't use the feature because there's just too many topics in there but I'm going to try turning off my automatic notification and see what happens. It'd be nice if only threads I wanted to watch were in there. Thanks!

It's working out pretty well but I'm starting to miss the email notifications. I turned that feature off in my forum info so my watched topics wouldn't fill up. I may have to turn that back on and just keep them organized like charleydog.

Yes I tried that a while ago, because my e mail kept getting full, but then I couldn't keep up with posts I needed too....so now I just pay attention to which ones i need to turn on or off..or follow until no new posts then turn off...

Thanks for all the help guys!!

It sure would be nice if there was just a option to "save this thread" like we can save gallery pics into our favorites & recipes into our recipe box... I would love a option to just save the thread... I was just thinking about this the other day & then saw that it was being discussed.... I wonder if it is a feature that could be added to the site or if there is a reason it can't? Sure would be nice & helpful.... icon_smile.gif
