I was thinking of ways to make this cake for Thurs. memorable. I really need to get more orders. Anyway, I thought a really delicious filling would be good so what are your suggestions? I always shy away from fillings because I'm unsure if people will like them. But this guy seemed pretty open as long as the cake is choc. So I thought throwing that in would helpset me apart. Whaddaya think?

I always put in a chocolate filling and generously sprinkle with those little tiny chocolate chips. Very unexpected when you bite into the cake. People rave about it and always ask if I am adding that to the next cake they order.

I just made one with a layer of ganache and fresh strawberries....yum.

Antonia74-you are so creative. I'm going to have to try the carmel buttercream and the nuts. How do you make your carmel BC. Melt carmels and add or use the carmel topping? Just curious and drooling!

I love putting crushed oreos in my buttercream( not chocolate) and filling chocolate cake with that. Voila.... cookies N Cream

To make Caramel Buttercream, I whip in a bit of homemade caramel into the icing when it's mixing up...but those caramel candies are a GREAT idea Dodibug!!! I'm going to try those instead!!
