You want me to pay WHAT?!?

Thread Starter
I just tried to order 1 cookie cutter from kitchengifts.com, 1 measly little cutter for $9.95 USD. I was okay with the rate of exchange and so forth and according to PayPal it was going to cost me about $21 CAD. Okay, fine. I just got an email from kitchengifts asking me to pay yet ANOTHER $30.80 USD and they would ship to me. WHAT?!? icon_eek.gif I called them and they said yep, that is the going rate.

That is just crazy!!! So, needless to say, I asked that my order be cancelled. Wow!!! I have ordered many items from the US and never have I had to pay that much! I'm so disappointed, it was a really cool formula one cutter too! icon_cry.gif

I would have done the same thing!!!

Yup...... icon_eek.gif I've had my friend in Tennessee accept many items and I pay her regular shipping from there!! This is what I mean..I think sometimes these companies take advantage of foreign orders that way.

This company is good but they don't have copper cutters. great prices. Never had a problem. If you want for future reference.

What cookie cutter are you trying to get? I want one, maybe two from there and right now if I order two the shipping to me is free. I sell a little on eBay. Maybe we can work something out. I would only cover my costs, no outrageous fees like they seem to be charging you. I have shipped to UK and Canada before and know it doesn't cost that much extra!!

did you know you can make your own template if you only need to bake a batch or so from cardboard and a sharp knife..

Make some sell some and let it earn the 30 bucks to buy it..

lol

I'd be willing to help you too. I could order it for you, and ship it to you directly. I'd only charge you for my costs. Let me know. : )

I also make a lot of my own cookie cutters out of transparency paper (like you use for overhead projectors) and cut out the cookie with a sharp knife. It doesn't break down after cutting out many cookies. I just wash them and keep them in a file for future use.

I've made homemade templates for cookies also!! It works great! You may want to try that.

I own ONE cookie cutter. All my other cookies I cut out from a piece of cardboard/paper and a knife. My rosebud Cookies were not made with a cookie cutter just a knife and some paper
