Has anyone ever used ganache to cover a stacked cake? I'm assuming I would cover each layer separately and then stack, any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Yes..do the cakes individually....then stack.

you can whip some of the leftover ganache and pipe it around the cakes.

In NO at ICES I went to a demo on chocolate and ganache. She had a tiered stacked cake and poured the ganche over the top of both of them as they were stacked. Worked great!

I pour my ganache over the cakes after they are stacked.
