First, let me apologize for repeating a previous post. I know I have seen a forum here somewhere that has a recipe for white chocolate ganache. I don't think I can just use the regular chocolate ganache recipe because I know that white chocolate is not actually chocolate. I;m afraid if I tried that recipe, it wouldn't work and I'd be wasting my money on the ingredients. If anyone knows the recipe can you please email it to me at [email protected]? Please.

Second, I am making a three layer stacked cake for a christmas party. It will be covered in white chocolate ganache (obviously) and I plan to decorate it with wht choc transfers of snowflakes dusted with luster dust. Around the border, I will be putting little chocolate Christmas light candies and I want to sprinkle ground peppermints all over the cake. Here's my question.... I want to do a peppermint cream filling (any recipe ideas would be helpful icon_lol.gif ) but I don't know what flavor of cake to make. I'm stumped...anybody got any ideas? Cake is due Dec 15th, so I have a few weeks. Please help....I have DECORATOR'S BLOCK!!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

Here is the posting for the white chocolate ganache,
you'll have to scroll down a ways to find it:

What about just a white cake, since you are going to have the chocolate and peppermint on the outside and filling??

I'd go with the white cake like cindy6250 said. Use LorAnn flavoring to flavor your filling peppermint.

I've used the Wilton recipe and red candy melts. They aren't chocolate either, but it worked just fine.
