OK...I'm so sure you all are tired of these, but this is a new one for me. I did this little ol' turkey cake. He's about cupcake size, and I need to know about how much to charge. He's BC and MMF...

What would YOU charge for him???

I would charge $3.50 each, or 4 for $12.

They are little, but are cute. Really cute. Nice job.

FYI, I live in NJ and things are expensive here ... so bear that in mind when considering my answer.

They are adorable!

pooker,

That is so cute thumbs_up.gif

In my area, I would charge about $3.00 each and give a discount if they ordered 6 or more.

Do you mind sharing how you did this?

That it the cutest thing I have ever seen!! It's are perfect! It looks like alot of work. Look at how long it takes you per turkey, how much it costs, etc to help make a determination of cost. I sometimes look at projects by what kind of hourly rate would I be making? Hope this helps!

This is beyond cute! I think the $3.00 - $3.50 per is the right range.

i say see how many you can do in an hour...take your hourly rate, add price of ingredients and divide by number of turkeys!

Thanks everyone! thumbs_up.gif

Stephanie, I used an Easter Chick pan - it's small, and uses about the same amount of batter as a cupcake...maybe a bit more?

I iced the wings with a rose petal tip (sorry ...don't know the #), and the body was star tipped. Then I used fondant to make the rest. Used icing to attach the eyes and beak, and toothpicks with icing to attacth everything else. (did I answer???)

There is a picture in my photos of him next to a fork for size comparison...

Your turkey is absolutely adorable. I would charge at least 3.00. There is too much work involved to charge less than that!!!

Very cute. I too say no less than $3 each. I'd probably do $3.50 each and 4 for $12. Did this take you long to make?

Stephanie, I got the pan from my mom. She gave it to me to put in a garage sale. Naturally, I snatched it for myself. I'll ask her, but I doubt she remembers even owning it! icon_lol.gif

pooker, SO adorable!! Neat idea making that from the chick pan.

stephanie214, not sure if this is the same pan or similar but it was on the wilton website for $1.99 but it has been discontinued. I saw one on eBay if you want to look there you might be able to win one.

Hope that helps!

I looked on sugarcraft-had to use the search function. It said they had a chick pan that was discontinued while they last but they didn't have a picture of them. I think it was 5.50. icon_smile.gif

Well, I asked my mom, and she never remembered owning it, even though the garage sale was last month! icon_lol.gif My mom has a terrible memory. She has absolutely no recognition of buying it, so your guess is as good as hers!
