Hi! I'm in search of a simple yellow cake recipe that has been tried and true. I have tried several and there just doesn't seem to be one that is good. I tried the Butter Cake recipe on the Wilton site, but that was toooooo eggy/greasy tasting. Thanks so much for taking the time to post any recipes!

I too have tried several scratch yellow cake recipies and i have found nothing that beats Duncan Hines Butter Yellow Cake mix (it has to the be one that uses butter, not oil). It's light, moist, and flavorful.

Thanks! I'll give that a try. I have a really good chocolate one (it seems like chocolate ones are always the easiest to find a good recipe for! LOL). My son's birthday is coming up and doesn't like chocolate and wants a "vanilla" one. I do have a coupon for the Duncan Hines so I'm going to go ahead and do that unless someone comes up with a good one that is tried. Thanks so much for responding!

I use the Ultimate Butter Cake recipe from Sarah Phillips. It is hands down the best in my humble opinion.
