I live in Southern Indiana in a small town. My customerwants this cake only done in My Little Pony. It will be 5 - 6" round cakes and 1 - 9" round cake all covered in BC with simple BC decorating. I was thinking around $60.00 but not sure if that's to high. What do you think? Thanks for you help.

I'm not sure if the picture will show up, so it's in my photos, it's the dora cake.

Wow, you are really talented. The Dora cake is beautiful. I'm not sure what to tell you. Where I live, that cake would go for over $200. But if all 4 bottom cakes are dummies, I might charge less.

But in a small town, I can't really help you with that. Sorry.

But your cakes are beautiful and it does take a lot of work and talent to make one of these. So don't sell yourself cheap.

One advice I got here on CC is to make a list of your expenses, then multiply by three. It usually works pretty well and will be a fair price.

Good luck
Alex

I live in a small rural area and I get $35 for a 1/4 sheet cake. With all the decorations you did on the Dore cake I'd say $60 certainly wouldn't be too much. How much higher you could go in your area I couldn't say. Good luck though. By the way I loved your My Little Pony cake!! Adorable!

Can't help with the pricing because I shoot them under too... in my area I am not sure what I could get... but I had to say that is so CUTE!!!
Great job! ~ $60 or higher is fair in my novice, under pricing opinion.

I personally think $60 is too low for the servings and the number of cakes. My suggestion is to figure out your material cost (don't forget cake boards and bags) and labor (decorating, baking and clean up) not to mention electricity and gasoline and go from there. Good luck!
