I bet you could also use marshmallows, don't they start selling fall colored marshmallows around this time?
Take one marshmallow and lay it on it's side for the backside to stick the feathers in and use another one standing upright for it's head.

Hi Nana!

I made some really cute turkey cupcakes last year and for the life of me I cannot find the picture to send to you. I can hopefully explain it well enough to understand but the pictures were so cute. And they were easy to decorate.

I iced all the cupcakes with white BC. Then I took some brown BC with a tip 12 and made a flat circle for the body right in the center of the cupcake. Then i took a tip #5 or 7 and made the turkey's head and neck right on top of the body. I then used the leaf tip #352 and made little feathers on his tail (red, orange, and yellow) I used yellow and the leaf tip to give him a little beak and a red hangy thing (tip #2). Then I think I used a tip #2 to give the turkey yellow legs.

I will keep looking for the picture. It is hiding in some folder in my computer.
Here turkey, turkey, turkey..... icon_smile.gif

Yes, they do look very similiar and after looking at that picture, I do think those cupcakes were the inspiration for my cupcakes. However, I piped a long skinny head and neck on the top of the body (more of a 3-D look) rather than in the one picture.

There are some cut ones in the last issue of Mailbox News..just pipe a ruffle border in red and then inside of that pipe a ruffle border in orange..the neck and head were piped straight up the center in brown and the facial features were piped in black. Hope I explained that ok!

In this Sunday's newspaper, there was a coupon for Betty crocker cake mix, and on the picture next to the coupon was a turkey cupcake. I can't for the life of me find the picture, or i'd scan it, but I'll do my best to describe it. I searched that dfarn bettycrocker.com website for the picture, but can not for the life of me find it.

The cupcake was iced in chocolate buttercream. There was what appeared to be a Whopper candy sitting on the front of the cupcake. Attached to the whopper's front was a candy corn resembling the wattle. Behind the whopper were about 5 candy corn sticking up vertically to resemble the tail feathers.

Tehy looked kinda like this, but not.
