OK I think i have lost my mind because for some reason i have agreed to do 2 wedding cakes in one week. that in itself is not too bad streeful but not too bad. The frist wedding cake is on Thanksgiving day the second is 2 days later. So now not only am i making Thanksgiving dinner for about 35 people i am also making 2 wedding cakes. I have seriously gone crazy for saying yes. I am really excited about the cakes though am going to talk to the brides later tonight to get al the info on flavors and number of people it needs to serve. Wish me luck!!!!!
yeah i figure i can do alot of prep work ahea dof time the cake for Thanksgiving day is very small probably a 10 inch round and 6 inch round. I was told small and simple so i said yes its for a friends cousin and the friend is paying me. That same friend is the one getting married on saturday not sure how many people yet. So i guess we will see.
Try not to over do to much.
Maybe you can delegate some of the work, like coloring the icing, covering your boards, etc. and such to some of your family that will be there.
Good luck.
Wow, and I'm stressing about having 25 people for Thanksgiving Day and a Holiday Luncheon on Dec. 3rd! Good Luck. I hope all goes well for you. Sometimes it's easier said than done, but try to organize as much as possible ahead of time and go into it with a well thought out game pl
Wow you are going to be busy!! I wish you the best of luck and I am sure you will do fine.

Susan, you can do it!!! Just make sure you don't ice the small cake with the leftover gravy or decorate with cranberry sauce!!! LOL! You'll probably do just fine and enjoy it too!
