I am getting ready to make my first batch of mmf using the recipe on this site. I noticed that you can add melted white chocolate. Does that change the consistency and make it difficult to cover a cake? Also, is there anything else I can add to possibly make it taste not quite so marshmallowy - like butter flavor or vanilla, almond, etc.? I didn't know if that would break it down or not.

MMF recipe of CC is the best recipe. I tried it yummy yummy!! If you want you can add any other flavors.
This MMF is not very marshmallowy. I think it will break it down with some other flavors.

Thanks
Nitu

Thanks Nitu! I personally don't like marshmallows - unless they are roasted! so I kind of cringe at the thought of fondant. I have covered cakes with it before, but it was a fondant that I bought from a cake supply store (not Wilton) and thought it tasted a bit marshmallowy. Well, that and it was pretty expensive! Thought I would give this a try.

You are very welcome, Kerri!
I am also not a Marshmallow fan. But compare to other fondant I love this recipe and it is really tests nice, easy to make and not a pricey.
I know you will love it.

Thanks
Nitu

I found almond works better than vanilla to combat the marshmellow-ness. I also tried orange which worked nicely too.
