Cookie Question

Thread Starter
my daughter pre-school is have a bake sale at the end of the month and I wanted to do a variety of cookies. I was just wondering how well they freeze decorated and if it would rune the decorating after it started to thaw. I would like to put them in bags for the sale, not sure if I should do them up and freeze them in the bags of in containers.
Thanks in advance for any advice icon_biggrin.gif

I found that if I just bake cookies right and left and freeze them without decorating them it's better. Then a few days prior to having to use them, I decorate them. I know a lot of cookie frosting/icing doesnt take well to the freezing, it either does something to the taste or to the consistency or the color...

dragonfly: indeed, royal icing, as i am assuming you're going to be using to decorate your cookies, does not typically fare well in a freezer, as the moisture can do a lot of damage, especially as the icing defrosts.
